Kaindu gets some relief

-

How Mine . . . . . . . . . . . (0) 2 Chapungu. . . . . . . . . . . . (1) 1 KELVIN KAINDU was breathing much easier yesterday after his side came from behind to snatch their first win of the 2017 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season.

The Zambian gaffer was beginning to feel some heat under the collar as How Mine struggled to get going in their opening three matches of the season.

And at Luveve yesterday the script appeared to be taking a familiar tale as the home side went into halftime trailing by a goal to nil.

Phillip Marufu had opened the scoring for the visitors on the stroke of halftime.

However, a spirited second half showing saw Kuda Musharu and Pasca Manhanga scoring How Mine’s second and third goals of the season respectively.

Musharu restored parity on 70 minutes before Manhanga scored what turned out to be the winner nine minutes later.

While Kaindu was breathing easier the opposite was true for his opposite number Tendai Chikuni.

Chikuni arrived from Shabanie Mine amid high expectations during the off season but the young brigade he brought along have so far failed to step up to the plate.
