DO YOU remember the old days in hip-hop when everything big was surely going to be televised? The major message to take home was “this revolution will be televised!”

Of course, not before, of course, not till Gil Scott-Heron, became famed with the opposite.

Likewise Gtel, a leading smartphone player in Zimbabwe, will be taking their next big thing live to the screens, including the national broadcaster ZBC, and of course Gtel will carry it to YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and website on live streaming where thousands will be reached.

When they made so much noise about the launch of the Gtel SL8 at a colourful event in Bulawayo during ZITF in 2016, this was the best ever smartphone from Gtel, packing some new high tech speed as their first smart-phone to introduce type C USB port.

The SL8 wrestled for stardom as it was packed with a mega 64GB storage running under an octa core processor with 16mp front camera, wowing thousands.

During ZITF they will also unveil their new X5 smart-phone.

Then came the X4 which was themed “Exceed Expectations”. Indeed it exceeded expectations in all aspects - the phone sold out in 27 days.

The launch of this flagship smart-phone was televised live on ZBCTV on the 1st of November 2016. The features on this device made waves on the local scene.

News has it that the old version will be complemented with the new star set to be its latest flagship although GTel could not divulge much we keep our fingers crossed that the phone will outshine its predecessor.

Smart-phones have become huge on specs yet how they impact day to day living is of paramount importance.

The next smart-phones are going to make your video recording, photo taking, social sharing and moments storing much easier and memorable.

The next big thing from Gtel is set to attract national attention as the launch will be streamed and broadcast live on national

TV and digital screens. On ZBC-TV the launch will be televised on the 25th of April at 19:40pm just before the Main News. This launch, live from a yet to be announced top class venue, as per standard, will be watched by hundreds of thousands live on social media and digital platforms.

The expectation and excitement is as high at Gtel as they accomplish yet another milestone, camouflaged in the acqui- sition of their new state of the art building in town, probably another reason to celebrate on a different day.

The stage is set for the unveiling of this pristine smart-phone. Its lights camera action in the few hours and once again the people will have to have to pass the verdict as the excitement reaches fever pitch levels. Gtel Care app
