High-risk sex offender currently living in Heritage area, police say
A man with a criminal history of sexual offences who poses a high risk to reoffend is now residing in Regina’s Heritage neighbourhood.The Regina Police Service (RPS) is advising that Dennis Richard Gladue, 57, is residing under supervision at a federal residential facility. Police said Gladue poses a high risk for acts of sexual offences against female children, and has a history of reoffending. The prospect of reducing his risk through treatment interventions are poor, according to police.Police released the advisory under the Saskatchewan Public Disclosure act, and to raise community awareness of Gladue so that people can make informed choices if they have contact with him. The advisory is not intended to incite any form of vigilantism against Gladue, according to the police statement.Gladue is described as Metis, 5-foot-9, with a medium build, weighing approximately 176 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes, and has a tattoo of a two-inch-high cross on his upper right arm.Gladue is bound by several conditions, which includes not being in a position of trust over any children under 18, not being near places where children are likely to congregate (schools, swimming pools and recreational centres) and respecting a curfew from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., except for work-related reasons and with a parole supervisor’s written agreement.Anyone with concerns can contact the RPS at 306-777-6500.
