The youngs­ters that we­re born bet­ween 1980 and 2000, the Mi­llen­nial ge­ne­ra­tion, are des­cri­bed as foo­dies be­cau­se of their spe­cial knowledge and pre­di­lec­tion for everyt­hing re­la­ted to the cuisine realm, from food tem­po­ra­lity, ori­gins, or­ga­no­lep­tic cha­rac­te­ris­tics, to ma­king pro­ces­ses, cu­li­nary tech­ni­ques and re­ci­pes. They ha­ve put on the ta­ble a dif­fe­rent way of enjoying gastronomy by in­tro­du­cing es­sen­tial cha­rac­te­ris­tics of their ti­me, li­ke tech­no­logy.
