BATTLE OF THE BULGE: PART XLVI
Dear Sirs, Adroit move by the former lady president last weekend upends most of the other contenders for the top job next Spring in Argentina. Opting for the Vice-Presidency, Cristina cleverly eludes the main flak and may even merit a pardon for former grave misdeeds from her faithful (?) partner should they triumph together in the presidential elections coming up over the horizon during the merry months of October/ November next.
Meanwhile, the present incumbent sweats profusely as the current severe economic recession shows scant signs of easing and he and his close aides studythetealeavesandwonderwhether they should move the team’s top draw, Buenos Aires provincial governor María Eugenia Vidal, into top position. Less than one month to go for a definition of final candidates for the Torrid Tussle. Fortunately, the peronistas are all squabbling amongst themselves. Fighting or procreating?
