Chamber welcomes its new Platinum Partner

Award-winning family firm thriving after being established back in 2010

-

Perthshire Chamber of Commerce’s newest Platinum Partner is The Lending Channel – a specialist lending and mortgage solutions company.

The Perth family firm was established in 2010 and is the Fair City’s largest mortgage broker, helping individuals and businesses throughout Scotland and the wider UK from its Friarton Road base.

Led by managing director Alistair Ewing, operations director Murray Ewing and finance director Elaine Ewing, it is a property finance broker dealing with all types of property finance including residential, commercial, buy to let and other finance products including debt consolidation.

Its flexibility is one of its chief strengths, and it is equally comfortable helping first-time buyers get on the property ladder or releasing equity for older people who may require essential medical care or desire luxury holidays.

Additionally, landlords, property developers and commercial property owners form a large part of their client base.

The multi-award-winning company has a head count of 20 and is set to complete £75million worth of business in 2023, helping to fuel an ambitious growth plan over the next five years.

Managing director Alistair Ewing, a former banker and broker for over 40 years, said its industry reach gave the firm a distinct advantage over its competitors.

He explained: “We did business with over 50 different lenders last year and we can help people in a wide variety of circumstances.

“If there is a solution out there for a client, we will probably be able to find it. We have a big success rate of getting some difficult cases placed that other brokers can’t.”

Finance director Elaine Ewing said the days of people with 25year mortgages they would pay off in their early fifties was also not as prevalent today, and the profile of their customer was changing.

She said: “We have people raising money to give to their children for deposits on their houses, which is a fairly new thing to the market, and people’s circumstances are changing with some having mortgages into their seventies and eighties. People are definitely spending to improve their lifestyles.”

Very much a family firm, with customers at the heart of everything it does, the company has helped thousands of people get the correct lending solution for them and since its inception it has brokered nearly half a billion pounds worth of lending.

Operations director Murray Ewing said: “We leave no stone unturned, it’s part of our mantra. We are helping people out in so many different ways and ultimately, we want to make people’s dreams come true.”

Perthshire Chamber chief executive Vicki Unite said: “We are delighted to have The Lending Channel on board as a platinum partner and look forward to having a fruitful relationship with them in the immediate and longterm future.”
