MIKA

-

– Que Ta Tête Fleurisse Toujours It’s been a long time between hits for Lebanese-born pop star Mika. His golden moment remains 2007’s still fabulous #1 Grace Kelly, before coming out in 2012, and he’s now up to his seventh album. This time Mika’s opted to release a record entirely in French, his native tongue. It’s dedicated to his mother, who passed away, and is also a love letter to his partner, film-maker Andreas Dermanis, with whom he has been with for 18 years, especially on the haunting track Moi, Andy et Paris. Even if French is not your first language (or last!), this is a beautifully crafted pop record with Mika embracing his past, present and future. Let’s hope an English version arrives soon, non?!
