understands Ollie Dewsbury is training with Everton this week, and the Toffees could sign the Bristol Rovers youngster ahead of a number of different suitors.

It is understood other clubs, such as Arsenal, Stoke City, and Fulham, have registered an interest in the 18-year-old, but the Toffees have emerged as his most likely destination.

Dewsbury could depart Rovers if his week with the Premier League club is positive, and if he does leave, the Gas are expected to receive a six-figure fee.

The young forward became a history-maker for the Gas on November 4, 2023, coming on in the FA Cup game against Whitby Town, which made him the club’s youngest-ever player to feature in the FA Cup and the secondyoungest to play for Rovers’ first team.

He had loan spells at Yate Town and Taunton Town in 2024 and 2025, respectively, and most recently joined Weston-superMare in the second half of the 2025-26 season, having made 22 appearances for Rovers’ firstteam.

During his time at the Seagulls, he scored three goals in 21 appearances, with the team losing 2-0 to Hornchurch FC in the National League South play-off semi-finals.

When speaking about Dewsbury in March 2026, Steve Evans said: “Yeah, Ollie’s first and foremost a terrific lad, comes from a lovely family.

“I’ve not met them, but the things that I discussed with Ollie, he was in yesterday, he was having a cool down with us yesterday, and I asked him how good it feels to get nearly 90 minutes, because he’s not had enough game-time at Weston, and that’s the disappointing thing.

“He’s not got enough minutes on the pitch, and we always believed if you get him on that pitch, he’s better than that level, and he got man of the match on Saturday, scored the only goal in a 1-0 win, and was in and around us yesterday. So we like Ollie.”

So far in pre-season, Dewsbury has played 53 minutes for Rovers in games against Salisbury FC, Leicester City and Portsmouth.
