BOXING: Toowoomba cruiserweight Brett “Boogy Man” Peters will be out to rain on the parade of Brisbane’s Benjamin Kelleher when they meet in a highly anticipated rematch tonight at Westbrook Tavern.

Peters and Kelleher headline the Boxing Unleashed card also featuring the rematch of Maks Chylewski and his Toowoomba opponent Brent Moore.

Kelleher boasts an undefeated pro record of six wins and two draws.

But Peters put a dent in his armour in their previous meeting where the pair battled out a draw in Brisbane on March 18.

That effort boosted Peters’ record to an impressive 10 wins and a draw from his 14 fights.

Peters’ trainer Brett “Richo” Richards said his fighter has worked “overtime” in his bid to end Kelleher’s unbeaten run.

“They’ve got some big raps on Kelleher who I believe is fighting for a Queensland title in a few weeks time,” Richards said.

“But Bretto is determined to come out on top this time and has been working as hard as I’ve seen him to be ready for Ben on Saturday night.”t

TONIGHT’S program includes corporate bouts and two Muay Thai fights.

The action starts at 6pm with doors open from 5pm.
