Rukshan creates history in music industry

Talented Young Rukshan Sachintha, who launched his latest music video ‘Dinawai Mea Lowe’, recently has been featured at the ‘Iraj online’ musical programme on Swarnavahini last week.

While featuring on Saturday’s programme, Iraj named him as this young talented singer as the most creative person to spend the lowest ever budget on a music video in Sri Lanka.

‘The lyrics of the song ‘Dinawai Mea Lowe’ was penned by me and Sarada Chulasinghe did the mixing and mastering the music for ‘Red Monkey Records’.

‘All my friends and family helped and encouraged me on this project and I have spent only Rs 500/- on the entire project’ Rukshan said

Rukshan who released his maiden song ‘Amme mama Adarei’ last year and this is his second music video

The 17 year old Carey College Advanced level student says he is thankful to Chathura Dhananjya, Pasindu Janith, Gihan Sethunga, Thilini Soysa, Sewwandi Dilrukshika and isuru Anupa who had helped him in his career as an up and coming singer.

‘Also I have to thank Iraj Weeraratne and his crew at the Swarnavahini for featuring me on his programme and for all the help extended towards me to develop my musical career’ he added .
