HOW can i create a Metal painted Material?

I created this material for a short movie that I’m making, I used it for a gate and other environment objects, so I think it is the perfect material for answering your question. First, create a new material slot in the Node Editor panel in Blender, and start adding these nodes: a shader Glossy BSDF, a shader Diffuse BSDF, the converter Math, the input Texture Coordinate, the internal texture Musgrave Texture, a Mix Shader, two colour Gamma and the Material Output.

After you’ve added these elements, you can start creating the final material.

First of all, mix the shader Glossy BSDF with the shader Diffuse BSDF using the Mix Shader. Next, link the Texture Coordinate with the Musgrave Texture (linked in Vector) and this one with the first colour Gamma. Then you can link the Texture Coordinate to the Image Texture (in UV if you have mapped the object), and then link this one to the, Glossy BSDF in Roughness and the second colour Gamma. Next, link the two colour Gamma using the Math Converter. The second to last connection that you have to do is between the Math Converter and the Displacement of the Material Output. Lastly, connect the Mix Shader to the Material Output.

Once you have finished linking every element of the material, you can start to fix all the different values. In the image texture, import an image that gives some more imperfections to the material, something that will be overlaid onto the material (in this case I use a Smudge texture). In Mix Shader, set a value of 0.300, while in the two colour Gamma, set a value between 0.100 and 0.300. In the converter Math, change the operation in Multiply and in the Musgrave Texture, fix these values: Scale: 50.000, Detail: 15.000, Dimension: 0.000, Lacunarity: 0.000, Offset: -87.500 and Gain: 0.000 and change the Type to Multifractal. Then you can start the rendering phase and eventually see the final result.
