optimise while working

-

If you’re building more elaborate pieces in VR, and don’t plan on building elements to put together outside of VR, it can be a good idea to optimise the scene assets as the scene gets more complex. You won’t need to do this for small projects, but for scenes with many clayto-mesh conversions, you might experience performance issues.

To avoid this, you can convert your clay elements to mesh, and then find that mesh in the scene save folder. You’re then free to open that mesh in another program and optimise, UV unwrap etc. When you reload your scene in MPVR, it will be with the newly optimised mesh. If you use this approach, you can build very large scenes without any problems.
