object Centres
When animating an object, be mindful as to where its ‘motivation’ centre is. This centre may not necessarily be directly at the volumetric centre of the object. It may be closer to its base (such as a car or a truck) when turning, or at its very base, if animating a rocket for example. Defining a centre can usually be done on a object-by-object basis, but it can also be done by parenting an object to a null or group object, which is then animated. This is a great way of trying different motivation centres without having to reanimate the model every time.
