Arnold proxy

If your viewport will slow down after importing a high-poly model, you can make an Arnold proxy from it. To do this, go to the Arnold Render menu, then select Standin and choose Export Standin. Then import the received proxy through Createstandin. But before that, it is advisable to separate the scalp for the hair.
