The launch of the RAZR MT and RAZR AT ranges in Australia over the last three years has given local 4x4 enthusiasts an insight into the latest evolution of technology Maxxis has adopted for this new generation of tyres. The RAZR range has made significant inroads into the local marketplace, building on the Maxxis reputation for strong overall performance and value.
Combining rugged off-road performance and strength with safe, comfortable on-road drivability and low noise levels, the RAZR MT772 has justifiably earned its place as one of the most popular and well-respected MT tyres in Australia – a reputation endorsed by its win of the prestigious 2020 4x4 Magazine Tyre Test.
The next step in its next generation of 4X4 tyres, was the release of the much anticipated all-terrain RAZR AT811 tyre into its series.
Maxxis’ development of the RAZR AT811 began in 2017, culminating in comprehensive testing of the final designs in Australian conditions over the last 12 months.
The Australian testing covered thousands of kilometres, utilising a variety of vehicles operating in an array of service conditions from farming and mining to general commuting and recreational trips.
The all-terrain was evaluated over many road types and climatic conditions from far North Queensland to the High Country of Victoria.
Prior to release, the new AT811 was also independently tested in Australia across a range of performance criteria.
The testing included a full range of on and off road performance evaluations including wet and dry handling, braking, traction, and incar noise level tests.
