The new name that most Aussie fans had to learn (to pronounce, most likely), the South African-born Labuschagne earned his chance by dint of domestic runs, finishing the last Shield season as second-leading run-getter for the winning Queensland side. The 25-year-old already possesses a Test moment against India – in the 2014 match at the Gabba, he snared a catch off Nathan Lyon’s bowling as a substitute fielder at short leg.
