Amid the sea of multi-format, rapid-fire hitters, Pujara is India’s Test-specific bolt at first drop, content to employ patience and bloody-mindedness for his runs. He’s currently the sixth-ranked Test batsman in the ICC rankings, and has an average hovering around 50. But like Dhawan, he’ll face questions in Australia about how well his bat travels, although he was one of the better performers in England.
