JIM MAXWELL

The Voice of Summer, Maxwell is in his 50th year on air calling cricket with the ABC. Having covered more than 300 Test matches over his career, there have been countless highlights, including a first during the 2019 Ashes series in England when he was on the microphone when Australia retained the urn.

ALISON MITCHELL

Among the most authoritative voices in the game today, Mitchell has commentated all over the world on radio and TV including for ABC Sport and BBC’s Test Match Special. With her mother hailing from Adelaide, Alison has a close affinity with Australia, having spent many summers watching cricket at the Adelaide Oval.

ANDREW MOORE

Since joining the ABC in 2015, Andrew Moore has established himself as one of ABC SPORT’s most versatile and leading broadcasters. Best known for his work covering the NRL, in recent years he has become a regular voice across all forms of cricket. His love of loud shirts in the commentary box has also become a talking point.

WAQAR YOUNIS

One of cricket’s greatest bowlers, Waqar took 373 Test wickets and 416 in one dayers. His rapid swing bowling alongside Wasim Akram was often decisive, and subsequently he coached Pakistan during a tumultuous and controversial era, when Pakistan was unable to play at home. He has become a frequent commentator on television and TMS.

CARL HOOPER

Respected as much at the crease as behind the microphone, former West Indian Test captain Carl Hooper, who was the first to achieve the incredible record of 5000 runs, 100 wickets, 100 catches and 100 caps in both ODIs and Tests, joins the ABC SPORT Cricket team for the West Indies Tests.

STUART CLARK

Stuart took 94 wickets in 24 Test matches and was a pivotal fast bowling force in Ashes matches from 2006 to 2009. He completed finance and law degrees, moving onto key administrative roles in cricket, rugby league and softball. He has become a regular cricket commentator on radio and television.

GLENN McGRATH

Australian cricket royalty, member of the ICC Hall of Fame and one of the world’s greatest-ever fast bowlers, Glenn McGrath brings his specialised knowledge and experience to the ABC’s summer of cricket. The wit and personality which McGrath displayed so often on the field is sure to entertain while he delivers his the serious cricket commentary.
