Kids pumped over track first for BMX
Albany children and their families flocked to Milpara Park for the opening of the area’s first BMX pump track last weekend.
On June 30, a crowd of children spent their day on bikes and scooters learning the track, showing off tricks and trying to set their best times.
Lachy Vandserschaat, 10, said he expected to visit the course before and after school every day. “It’s good,” he said. “You can go around any part and the jumps — you don’t have to follow the track.”
One grandparent at the event said she hoped to see cycle paths installed around Milpara for adult cyclists.
