Albany Advertiser - - OPINION -

Road modifications designed to slow traffic on Bathurst Street, Mira Mar, have been completed, but not everybody is happy about their impact.

When working near that road, I watched a tradie towing a trailer, he managed to drive through with the barest turns of the wheel. Adrian Chester

Regular but random placement of the speed camera would have been quite effective as only the people that break the law would be inconvenienced. And perhaps notifying the police of hooning is more appropriate than harassing the people that build roads? Elijah Forrest

I hope the town planners in 20 years appreciate all the reduction of lanes around this town. :) I guess it works but those curbs installed are quite sharp edged and now the percentage of "give waying" has gone from 0% on a two lane road to? Benjamin Ellis

Just awful, fancy having one of the speed devices right on the hill, and you haven't an idea what is coming the other way, really dangerous.

Sue Penny

So now the traffic has moved to Cockburn Rd, its turned it into a race track, great move, is it the main roads doing or town council? Silvio De Agostino

Another waste of ratepayers money. They do all that meaningless work then they can’t even redo the bitumen at other end of that road. Melanie Rogers

Just another place for the wheel spinners to get angry, and the rest of the population to suffer. Rick Watt
