Riders ready to be amazed
Australian professional cyclist Simon Clarke will join hundreds of riders as they weave through some of the region’s most scenic landscapes as part of the Amazing Albany Bike Ride.
This Sunday, cyclists will be gearing up for the bike ride, a 90km course that directs riders to local attractions and tourist destinations.
Clarke, who won a stage of this year’s Vuelta a Espana, will lead The Amazing Albany Bike Ride this Sunday, November 4.
Setting out from the Anzac Peace Park at 8am, the ride will take in some of Albany’s most -stunning scenery including Mt Clarence, Salmon Holes, the Gap, Stony Hill and Albany Wind Farm.
Cyclists of all types, ages, backgrounds and skill levels will be encouraged to ride, and a 55km short route has been included within the longer course to cater for riders of various levels of ability.
