‘Pro­jec­tiles’ hit ve­hi­cles

Po­lice probe re­ports of objects ‘fired’ at ve­hi­cles on Al­bany High­way.

Po­lice are search­ing for in­for­ma­tion af­ter two sep­a­rate re­ports of pro­jec­tile dam­age to trucks driving along Al­bany High­way on Satur­day.

The first in­ci­dent was re­ported at 12.40pm af­ter a truck driver re­ported be­ing struck by a pro­jec­tile while driving on the high­way near Fed­eral Road.

The sec­ond in­ci­dent, also in­volv­ing a truck, oc­curred on the same stretch of road some­where be­tween 12.30pm and 1pm the same day.

It is not yet known if the pro­jec­tile was a firearm. Po­lice at­tended the scene and searched the stretch of Al­bany High­way, door-knock­ing for in­for­ma­tion.

The po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing the re­ports and urge any­one with in­for­ma­tion to phone Crimestop­pers on 1800 333 000.
