More Govt sup­port for lo­cal se­niors

Great South­ern se­niors will re­ceive more sup­port next year, with half-a-bil­lion dol­lars in Fed­eral Govern­ment fund­ing promised for aged care sup­port in the re­gion.

Ju­niper Bethshan aged care in Katan­ning re­ceived an in­crease of $34,000 in fund­ing, while Spring­haven Frail Aged Hos­tel in Ko­jonup will get $32,000 from March 2019.

Waratah Lodge in Wa­gin re­ceived the big­gest grant with $72,000 do­nated for aged care fa­cil­i­ties.

WA Coun­try Health Ser­vice will also ben­e­fit from in­creased fund­ing of $89,000 al­lo­cated for health­care in Katan­ning, Gnowangerup and Ko­jonup.
