More Govt support for local seniors
Great Southern seniors will receive more support next year, with half-a-billion dollars in Federal Government funding promised for aged care support in the region.
Juniper Bethshan aged care in Katanning received an increase of $34,000 in funding, while Springhaven Frail Aged Hostel in Kojonup will get $32,000 from March 2019.
Waratah Lodge in Wagin received the biggest grant with $72,000 donated for aged care facilities.
WA Country Health Service will also benefit from increased funding of $89,000 allocated for healthcare in Katanning, Gnowangerup and Kojonup.
