Se­cure spot to lap up Leeuwin’s ar­rival

The Leeuwin is set to ar­rive in Al­bany Wa­ter­front Ma­rina from 11-11.30am.

The tall ship will head through King Ge­orge Sound and Ataturk Chan­nel from 10am-11am, pend­ing con­di­tions.

We have put to­gether the best van­tage points from which to watch the ship’s ar­rival.

A. Ma­rine Drive

The look­out and carparks along Ma­rine Drive will of­fer stun­ning views of the Leeuwin’s ar­rival.

B. Point King Light­house

Head along Mid­dle­ton Beach board­walk and down to the his­toric Point King Light­house for a close-up cl os view of the ship’s ar­rival.

C. Al­bany Wa­ter­front Ma­rina

D. French­man Bay beach look­out

Head He into the gravel carpark at the end of French­man Bay Road, near Bom­bie Rock, for a stun­ning vista of Michael­mas and Break­sea is­lands as the Leeuwin passes by.
