Swim meet guru in mix for top award

Long-time Al­bany Swim Club tech­ni­cal of­fi­cer Kaye Bol­ger is in the run­ning to be named the best in Aus­tralia.

Bol­ger, who has been a tech­ni­cal of­fi­cer for 25 years and reg­u­larly trav­els around the coun­try to help deliver Swim­ming Aus­tralia meets, has been se­lected as a fi­nal­ist for Swim­ming Aus­tralia’s 2018 Roger Smith tech­ni­cal of­fi­cial of the year award.

Bol­ger was awarded the tech­ni­cal of­fi­cer of the year gong at the 2018 West­pac Swim­mer of the Year Awards in Perth in May.

It was the first time she had claimed the State award, hav­ing pre­vi­ously been win­ner of the na­tional tech­ni­cal of­fi­cer of the year award.

The Swim­ming Aus­tralia Gala Awards Night will be held in Mel­bourne on Satur­day, Oc­to­ber 27.
