Community chance to hear about parking
A SECOND public information session to discuss the Bright Car Parking Plan will be held next week.
Alpine Shire Council’s draft plan aims to improve parking availability during busy periods, support walking and cycling and ensure car parking in Bright’s town centre meets the needs of the community.
Alpine Shire Council acting chief executive Will Jeremy said an information session last week attracted only a handful of people.
Anyone with an interest in the future of car parking in Bright is urged to head along.
“We want to give more people the opportunity to attend, and ask any questions or provide feedback,” Mr Jeremy said.
“This is an opportunity for our community to let us know exactly what they think, and how they want parking to be managed in the future.
“We will take all feedback into account before the final draft is presented to council.”
The plan is available to view on council’s website, at the Bright Library and at the Alpine Shire offices.
The draft Bright Car Parking Plan public information session will take place at the Bright council chambers on Tuesday, July 10.
A drop-in session will begin at 4pm with a presentation from 5.30pm to 6.30pm.
