THE Myrtle­ford and Dis­trict Vol­ley­ball As­so­ci­a­tion was treated to a thrilling fi­nal re­cently with I’d Hit That (IHT) claim­ing a five set win over Buf­falo River.

The Buf­falo River team con­sist­ing of vet­eran Roberto Gasper­otti, Amanda Ramia, Shantelle Trif­fitt, Bray­den Gasper­otti, Sacha Emanuelli and Adam Emanuelli man­aged to win the first 25-14 be­fore IHT bounced back.

The IHT team of Jac­qui, Ryan, Daniel, Matt and Steve Har­ris as well as Lonni Stephens and Ste­wart McPher­son claimed the sec­ond set be­fore Buf­falo River again grabbed as­cen­dancy by win­ning the third.

IHT then won the fourth set to send the match into a thrilling fifth set that af­ter eight match points was fi­nally won by the I’d Hit That clan, 31-29.

The male best on court was awarded to Buf­falo River’s Bray­den Gasper­otti while IHT’s Stacey Har­ris was the best fe­male.

The as­so­ci­a­tion also an­nounced their awards for the sea­son with Ryan Bisinella and Elisha Hazel­dine claim­ing the top male and fe­male gongs re­spec­tively.

Ry­ley Bouker and Sacha Emanuelli fin­ished as the run­ners up for both the men’s and women’s com­pe­ti­tions.

Grace Emanuelli, Shay­lah Murtagh and Brody Wil­son were named as the most im­proved play­ers.

Elisha Hazel­dine thanked the com­mit­tee for all their hard work.
