I’d Hit That claim volleyball title
THE Myrtleford and District Volleyball Association was treated to a thrilling final recently with I’d Hit That (IHT) claiming a five set win over Buffalo River.
The Buffalo River team consisting of veteran Roberto Gasperotti, Amanda Ramia, Shantelle Triffitt, Brayden Gasperotti, Sacha Emanuelli and Adam Emanuelli managed to win the first 25-14 before IHT bounced back.
The IHT team of Jacqui, Ryan, Daniel, Matt and Steve Harris as well as Lonni Stephens and Stewart McPherson claimed the second set before Buffalo River again grabbed ascendancy by winning the third.
IHT then won the fourth set to send the match into a thrilling fifth set that after eight match points was finally won by the I’d Hit That clan, 31-29.
The male best on court was awarded to Buffalo River’s Brayden Gasperotti while IHT’s Stacey Harris was the best female.
The association also announced their awards for the season with Ryan Bisinella and Elisha Hazeldine claiming the top male and female gongs respectively.
Ryley Bouker and Sacha Emanuelli finished as the runners up for both the men’s and women’s competitions.
Grace Emanuelli, Shaylah Murtagh and Brody Wilson were named as the most improved players.
Elisha Hazeldine thanked the committee for all their hard work.
