WITH Christmas only four weeks away Bright Singers have begun spreading festive cheer.

On Saturday the group made their way around Myrtleford singing Christmas Carols to promote three upcoming concerts.

The Bright Singers’ Christmas Concerts have been a regular oc- currence in Bright for more than 15 years.

More recently they’ve also taken place in Mt Beauty while this December will see the group’s first holiday performance in Myrtleford.

Bright Singers member Beth Reed said group members always looked forward to this time of year.

“We all really enjoy doing the Christmas Carols, it’s something that we’ve done in Bright for as long as I’ve been in the group which is 16 years,” she said.

“In Bright we hold the concert at the Art Gallery which is where we practice, and usually get 90100 people come along.

“Some of those in the audience join in singing and it’s just a lovely evening of beautiful Christmas Carols and something we’re look- ing forward to sharing with the people of Myrtleford now too.”

The first of the three concerts will be held in Myrtleford this Saturday at the Uniting Church from 4pm with Bright’s annual performance to take place the following night at 8pm.

Mt Beauty’s Christmas Concert will be in the town’s Community Hall the following weekend on Sunday, December 9.
