TANNER Hinton was the first baby born at Northeast Health Wangaratta for 2019.

He was born at 3.02pm on Tuesday, January 1 and weighed 8lb 8oz.

Parents Kristy and Luke Hinton (pictured) of Bright were excited to say hello to their bouncing boy but were not expecting to celebrate their New Year’s Day at Northeast Health Wangaratta.

“He was not expect- ed to be a New Year’s baby but we also didn’t make any big plans to celebrate as we knew he was coming around this time of year,” Kristy said.

“I think he’s a lucky boy.. it’s a special birthday, and his first birthday will be big next year.”

Sister Zara was rapt to have a baby brother, as you can see in from the photo (right) taken by the Observer’s Mel Guy.
