How long have you lived In Wandiligong?

Permanently since 1992. What did you do for work?

Jack of all trades, master of none. Family orchard in Shepparton, when my wife and I married we moved to Queensland and was contracted with cane for a few years, came back to Shepperton and sold insurance for AMP for eight years then at 37 years old I enlisted as a driver in the air force, then in 1992 they downsized so I left and moved here.

What do you do for fun?

Every second Monday it’s bloke’s business, Tuesday is casual cycling with U3A, Wednesday and Thursday is croquet, Thursday afternoon is Men’s Shed and Friday I have off.

What do you like most about living in Wandi?

The climate of the area. Anything north of the NSW border is too far north after living in the tropics in Queensland; I’d rather winter down here than summer up there.

Where would you take visitors?

Just drive around and show them the sights, up to Mount Buffalo and Falls Creek.

Is there anything you would change?

Not really. Probably get rid of the tourists but we need them so I put up with it.
