Government spending $6 million on tech for pre-schools
HOPING TO ENCOURAGE LEARNING IN STEM SUBJECTS.
A $6 million program being developed by the Australian Government will introduce tablets with interactive apps and other technically-focused workshops to pre-schoolers, in the hope of sparking greater early interest in STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths). The investment follows a successful early-learning English program that employed similar methods, and will be trialled on 4,000 children in the coming months. HD
