ACCC to force NBN Co to reveal more network specifics

LOCAL CONNECTION TYPES AND NUMBERS TO BE LISTED.

APC Australia - - Tech Notes -

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has announced that its ongoing quarterly NBN reports will now be required to include more detailed info, including the number of NBN connections by their geographic region, network technology, speed tier and traffic class. It will also include data on the total bandwidth capacity purchased by all of the NBN resellers combined; however, it won’t be possible for the public to determine how much each individual service provider has purchased, as it is claimed that such data could be misunderstood — although the ACCC will be monitoring these numbers internally.
