AVERAGE COST OF AUSSIE FIXED INTERNET HAS DROPPED FURTHER THAN IN ANY PREVIOUS YEAR According to the ACCC, the average price for a fixed internet connection in Australia has fallen by 9.4% over the last financial year, a drop that almost doubles the average decline seen in the last four years. And perhaps because of this, data usage among Aussies is also soaring — between April and June in 2016, we downloaded around two million terabytes in total, but the same three-month window in 2017 saw that number increase to three million terabytes.
