Facebook overhauls Oculus team to meet its long-term VR goals
NEW TECHNOLOGIES IS WHAT IS NEEDED.
Facebook bought Oculus for US$2 billion in 2014 and, after three VR devices under its belt, the social media giant has reorganised the virtual reality team. The company admitted to TechCrunch that the shakeup was “internal” only and would not affect the consumer or developers. TechCrunch believes that the overhaul could lead to smoother flow of ideas between the devices and technologies teams, allowing the two to merge to deal with challenges as a single team.
