In what seems to be the lat­est push in Mi­crosoft’s devel­oper-friendly rein­ven­tion, the com­pany has made tens of thou­sands of its reg­is­tered patents open source. The tech gi­ant has joined the Open In­ven­tion Net­work, which is a patent group ded­i­cated to keep­ing Linux safe from law­suits, and in the process Mi­crosoft had to make some con­ces­sions… 60,000 of them.
