Can Elon Musk make internet via satellite faster?

Space internet.

He might be the man behind SpaceX and Tesla, but Elon Musk’s plans may go well beyond space travel and fast cars. Tech writer Gavin Sheridan has speculated that Musk, via SpaceX, plans on delivering high-speed internet connectivity directly from satellites, to millions of devices. SpaceX has approval to launch 11,943 satelllites to low orbits for improved latency. Sheridan’s thinking is that Musk will enable SpaceX to more cost-effectively launch thousands of relatively small, low-orbit devices for a complete global network, which would, in turn, transmit to ground stations.
