On a mission for true wireless VR. $399 | WWW.OCULUS.COM
At the end of September, Oculus announced that it would be releasing a new standalone VR gaming headset that’d be significantly more powerful than it’s smartphone-level standalone Oculus Go VR system. Expected to arrive sometime in the second quarter of 2019, the Oculus Quest will offer onboard six-degrees-of-freedom tracking, Touch controllers and compatibility with over 50 fully-fledged VR titles like Robo Recall, The Climb and Moss at launch. With a dual display resolution of 1,600 x 1,400 pixels and 64GB of storage space, this totally untethered experience could greatly expand the parameters of VR.
