MEMORY MATTERS

Now you’ve got your CPU fan installed and plugged in, it’s time to install the memory. You should have bought a dual-channel kit for your build. To install this, notice the notch on the bottom of each stick, where the connectors are. You need to line these up with the notches in the memory slots. Lift up the latches on both sides of each memory slot, then lining up the memory stick, carefully slot it into place, until both latches on either side click down securely. Additionally, unless you’re installing four sticks, make sure you use the color co-ordinated memory slots, to enable dual-channel memory speeds. Under no circumstances should you be using a single slot of memory for your build, because this limits overall memory bandwidth by half, regardless of how much memory it gives you.
