We’re happy with all these builds at the moment, and think they hang together well enough that we don’t need to highlight individual components in this “Upgrade of the Month” slot. Which is why we’ve elected to focus on a peripheral instead.

Of all the headsets we’ve seen recently, these wireless cans from Corsair really impress. We have many fears with wireless headsets –sound quality and battery life are particularly sensitive areas – but the HS70s allay them impressively. The soundstage is crisp and balanced, with a distinct lack of the overbearing bass that is common in so-called gaming headsets. There’s the added bonus that these look the part, too, with no silly LEDs draining the battery.

On top of all that, they’re not stupidly priced, as wireless headsets used to be. Whatever system you’re building, do yourself a favor, and grab a good set of cans while you’re at it.
