Linux
APPLICATION AND TASK BAR
The default side bar in Gnome only appears in the Overview mode. The dotted button brings up a grid of installed programs.
CONTROL YOUR ACTIVITIES
The button in the top-left corner reveals all currently open windows.
SEARCH FIELD
Find installed programs, documents and visited web pages. The field is also integrated with the software store and suggests applications that you might want to install.
THE APPS GRID
This looks like a mobile interface zoomed for a desktop. The switcher below shows all available programs or just frequently used ones.
INDICATORS AREA
There’s no System tray in Gnome, but this top-right zone is similar to one. The right-most element hides volume and power options.
