Asus Ryuo and Ryujin AIO

AIO cooling at an entirely new price point.

- Chris Szewczyk

The Ryuo is already a seriously high-end piece of kit, but the Ryujin 360 takes it up another notch. It’s got more cooling capacity, improved fans and a bolder pump/head design that packs in an additional fan.

The Ryujin comes with the same 1.77 inch OLED screen found on the Ryuo, but it also comes with a plastic shroud that covers the entire head and mounting assembly. Inside there’s an additional fan that’s designed to cool the motherboard VRM, RAM modules or an adjacent M.2 drive. You get addressable RGB lighting too.

The Ryujin 360 includes three Noctua NF-F12 series fans. These fans are contenders for the best PC fans on the market. They are renowned for their excellent performance, airflow characteristics and low noise. These fans cost over $30 each which significantly contributes to the Ryujin’s high price.

The Ryujin 360 performs very well, but it doesn’t exactly blow away cheaper dual 120mm radiator coolers. We only saw a three degree difference in overclocked 8700K load temperatures vs the Ryuo 240. Yes it looks great and is packed with top quality components, but at $399(!) you’re into custom loop territory.

The gorgeous and fully customizable Ryujin 360 does an excellent job, but it’s shown up by its cheaper and only slightly less effective little brother, the Ruyo 240. The Ryujin doesn’t do enough to justify its cost.
