Telstra flies ahead with 5G plans

SHOWS OFF 5G SMARTPHONE PROTOTYPE AND VIDEO CALL.

Telstra’s 5G rollout seems to be on course with the telco recently revealing a 5G ZTE smartphone prototype that it is testing on its network. The company is also testing an HTC 5G Hub, a midband commercial device connected to its 5G network. To make sure everything is running smoothly, Telstra has also demonstrated a 5G-to-5G video call – Australia’s first – on a commercial network. Telstra expects the 5G smart hub to be available to customers in 2019.
