Mysterious new Tegra X1+ doing the driving. $TBA | NVIDIA.COM/EN-AU/SHIELD
Lovely little bits and pieces
Nvidia has updated the Shield TV with artificial intelligence-assisted upscaling, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support. The company introduced its first Shield TV Pro, too, and both models feature the new Tegra X1+ processor. All of the new Shield TV models’ headlining features arrive courtesy of the Tegra X1+. Nvidia said the processor offers up to 25% better performance than its predecessor. Nvidia redesigned the device with a tubular chassis designed to be a bit less ostentatious, but it also nixed the previousgeneration Shield TV’s dual USB 3.0 Type-A ports in the process. The new Shield TV also features just 8GB of internal storage.
