Razer Viper Ultimate
Arguably the best wireless gaming mouse in the world right now.
Razer’s Viper gaming mouse became an instant favourite among PC gamers when it launched earlier in the year thanks to its incredible responsiveness, thoughtful design and lightweight build. So how do you improve on something that’s already near-perfect? Make it wireless, of course! It’s also sporting Razer’s brand-new Focus+ optical sensor, which is said to be 25% faster than competing technologies, the Viper Ultimate carries a mind-boggling maximum sensitivity of 20,000 dots per inch (even higher than the 16,000 DPI of its wired equivalent). Of course, that’s likely overkill for most people, which is why Razer has included a button on the bottom of the mouse that lets you easily cycle through a number of different sensitivity settings. Along with an IPS (inches per second) rating of 650 (effortlessly out-tracking the 400 IPS rating boasted by Logitech’s G Pro and G502 wireless gaming mice) and optical mouse switches that provide a response time of .02 milliseconds, Razer Viper Ultimate is basically indistinguishable from a wired mouse in terms of performance. Speaking of tracking, Razer’s Focus+ sensor can automatically detect changing surfaces without the need for calibration, and will also give you complete control over lift-off distance. A magnetic charging dock cleverly houses the mouse’s USB dongle and, like the Viper Ultimate itself, sports full Chroma RGB lighting. It’s also impossible to fault the mouse’s ambidextrous design, which features eight programmable buttons and a weight of just 74g. Right now, Razer’s Viper Ultimate is the wireless gaming mouse to beat.
