STORAGE
There’s plenty to choose from when it comes to system storage, but one of the key things missing from this system is an M.2 drive, due to their significantly higher price compared to SATA SSDs. There’s potential to improve our SATA storage here; a single extra 2.5-inch SSD could be added without needing to change anything else, or we could forgo the HDD and replace it with two more SSDs. 1.5TB of storage is already respectable, though, so more speed might be a better direction to look in. Team Group, Western Digital, and Patriot all produce affordable Gen3 M.2 SSDs, or if you’re looking for a higher-quality piece, Samsung and XPG are the way to go. Remember that upgrading to an X570 motherboard will be necessary if you want to use a Gen4 M.2 drive.
