Overclocked Threadripper 3990X decimates world records

Pro overclocker Allen ‘Splave’ Golibersuch has shattered ten world records in a single high-intensity overclocking session. Golibersuch managed to get the TR3990X running at 5.749GHz from its stock boost speed of 4.3GHz. In one benchmark the overclocked 3990X on chilled water was almost as fast as $15,000-worth of AMD’s Epyc CPUs that have twice the threads and cores.
