Samsung has really shaken up the portable SSD market over the last couple of years and its latest SSD the T7 Touch is about to do it again. The T7 touch uses a PCIe-connected SSD and the latest USB 3.2 specification to achieve read and write speeds of over 1000MB/s, which is more than double the maximum speeds of traditional SATA3 connected external SSDs. While the new portable storage device holds back on the full dual-lane USB 3.2 connection offered by WD’s P50 Black drive, in most circumstances (where you don’t have the absolute latest USB ports) it’ll be just as fast and a little less expensive. Plus it has a fingerprint sensor to keep all your CryptoKitties safe.
