Aftershock’s recommended Hypergate configuration is quite a beast, designed for high refresh-rate gaming. The GPU is the second-best available, saving a large chunk of money while serving up top tier performance, and the same goes for the CPU. However, Aftershock is by default installing the F variant of the 9700, meaning not only does it have no IGPU, but it also has no overclocking abilities – which for this grade of system is a letdown for enthusiast buyers. The $100 difference for the KF version at checkout is pricey, but could be worth it for those wanting to overclock, but as it is, it makes the AIO somewhat overkill, though it certainly adds to the aesthetics and will keep the system quiet.
