Apple won’t let bad guys use iPhones in movies

The director of recent box office hit Knives Out admitted he ‘let the cat out of the bag’ by explaining that Apple has a policy where it only sanctions the use of iPhones by a movie’s good characters. Knives Out is a modern whodunnit, so anyone with a keen eye would be able to definitively tell if a character is bad or good by the type of smartphone they use. While the issue is pretty critical in a crime thriller like Johnson’s latest work, you can’t unlearn this cinematic fact. It just may be the biggest blanket movie spoiler ever told.
