Gadgets: Fitbit charge 4
Fitbit’s new tracker takes charge with onboard GPS.
The Charge 4 from Fitbit has traditionally only had connected GPS tracking, which meant you needed to keep your smartphone on you if you wanted it to map your workouts, but the Charge 4 now includes onboard GPS tracking, freeing you of the need to carry two devices. The Charge 4 also introduces a new Active Minutes activity tracking tracking interface that gives you a better picture of your daily health contributions than step tracking (which is a little rudimentary these days). There’s also even new Spotify music playback controls to go alongside the long list of returning features like: 50m water resistance, on wrist payments, 7-day battery life, sleep insights and 24/7 Pure Pulse heart rate tracking.
